Los Angeles Section Celebrates
Section of the Year 2008

The Los Angeles Section was recognized as the Section of the Year at the PECG Annual Meeting Awards Banquet at the Bahia Hotel in San Diego on October 11, 2008.

LA Section President John Vassiliades was also recognized as PECG's Co-Member of the Year. John led his section in increasing membership, hosting well attended quarterly lunches with State Constitutional Officers and Legislative Leaders as guest speakers, and recruited volunteers to work in support of various legislative proposals and election candidates in the area. John is also a member of the Los Angeles County Science and Engineering Fair Organizing Committee and serves every year with other volunteers as a student judge in the Senior Engineering and Environmental Management Division.
